INDIVIDUAL/ FAMILY

Our Counseling is a form of 'talk therapy'. It is a process where an individual, couple,  or a family  can meet with a trained professional to talk about issues and problems that they are facing in their lives. Our professional counseling is confidential and non-judgmental.

GROUP & COUPLES

Group counseling is a form of psychotherapy where multiple individuals meet together with one or more therapists to address their problems and concerns. It provides a supportive environment where participants can share their experiences, gain insights, and learn valuable skills, often focusing on a specific issue like depression, anxiety, or substance abuse. Group counseling helps individuals realize they are not alone in their struggles and provides a platform to practice new behaviors and communication skills.

Couples counseling (also known as couples therapy) is a type of therapy that specifically focuses on helping romantic partners address relationship conflicts, improve communication, and enhance their affection and empathy for one another. Couples counseling is often a short-term, problem-oriented approach, focusing on specific issues like finances, parenting, or infidelity. The goals are to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen the emotional bond between partners.

DBT/TRAUMA

DBT, or Dialectical Behavior Therapy, is a type of therapy that can be adapted to treat trauma, particularly when combined with a trauma-informed approach. It focuses on teaching individuals skills to manage intense emotions, cope with difficult situations, and improve interpersonal relationships, all of which can be significantly impacted by trauma. DBT helps individuals develop a greater sense of emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and mindfulness, which are crucial for healing from trauma.

PLAY THERAPY

Play therapy is a therapeutic approach that uses play, children's natural language, to help them express their emotions, process experiences, and develop coping skills. It provides a safe and comfortable environment for children (and sometimes adults) to explore and communicate their feelings and difficulties, often through symbolic play.

PARENTING

Parenting therapy, also known as parent counseling or parent training, provides support and guidance to parents navigating the challenges of raising children. It helps parents develop effective parenting strategies, improve communication with their children, manage stress, and build stronger relationships. Therapy can address a wide range of parenting issues, including behavioral problems, emotional difficulties, and family conflict.

ASSESSMENT

A therapy assessment is a process where mental health professionals gather information to understand a client's needs and determine the best course of treatment. It involves various methods like interviews, questionnaires, and observations to assess a person's mental state, history, and current situation. The goal is to gain a comprehensive understanding of the individual's challenges and strengths to guide the therapeutic process effectively.
